*Sleuth Factions/Skills*

Go to the bank and crack the safe but only on the very last favor of a "key" hunt. It's also only helpful if you are in agency treasure hunts.

Eastern Triads (London and Shanghai)

Underworld Connections: cost 17 skill points

This skill is used when a suspect has gone into hiding, and you want to find him quickly. Use this skill to automatically bring the suspect out of hiding instead of going around town and asking the twonies  if they know where the suspect is hiding.

The Circle of Light (Shanghai and Delhi))

Surveillance: cost 15 skill points

Allows you to  follow a suspect to see if you can find a reason to convince him to answer some more questions. Only works on one suspect per case, and does not always work.

The Green Hand (London and Delhi)

Pugilism: cost 14 skill points

Helps increase your chances of interrogation and intimidation.

Tea Steepers (Shangri-La)

Hostage Negotiation: cost 15 skill points

-Located in Shangri-La at the Lamesary

Allows you to negotiate with pirates! Always works.

Tigers of Shangri-La (Shangri-La)

Trap Detection: cost 15 skill points

-Located inside the prince's palace

Alerts you when there is natural or man-made danger! Always works

NOTE: For Steepers and Tigers factions, you are only allowed to pick one of them, not both!

Standings:

- 1 Point: You can visit the faction's headquarters.
- 10 Points: You can ask about lost treasures.
- 20 Points: You can buy the faction's background theme and book.
- 30 Points: You get the cheapest prices for faction items and book.

You can improve your standing with any faction by doing a "little job" for them. Visit their headquarters and offer to do one. You will be told to get information from a certain townie, who will ask you 3 questions. By doing a little job everyday, your standing with that faction will gradually increase. But beware, your standing will also decrease a bit after every turnover, so keep doing those "little jobs" to maintain a high standing. Your standing will also decrease, if you get a case where your faction will go down, and another will go up. In this case, if you wish to keep the faction up, quit the case, and gain a faction point, otherwise solve the case and lose a faction point.

TREASURE HUNTS

*Treasure Hunts*

The City News will post new treasure hunts that are up for grabs and who the faction involved is. Be sure to check it out daily!

To start a treasure hunt with your agency, you must first be in good standing with the faction that has put out a reward for the lost treasure. Normally this is 10+ relationship standing with the faction. You go to the faction and ask if there are any lost treasures...they will tell you that there is but you must pay a price for the info. Pay the required money and you will learn as to whom knows something about the treasure. This is always a townie and it is the first favor you do in the hunt. It is best to have all your agency members workimg together to capture this treasure, or most of your agency members anyway.

The hunt starts by saying that the treasure or the key to it is with, for example, the barber. When you do the barber a favor in this case, you advance the hunt, and it tell you it is now with, for example, the Tailor, and so on.

Everyone in the agency is now involved, and if anyone does the favor needed, they advance the hunt.

You can now keep track with the treasure hunt in the "active treasure hunts" area in the agency and see your progress and other agencies' progress on the same hunt at City Hall, "Treasure Hunts".

Your agency will have to track any clues all around the world, if it is a MC Treasure hunt (Multi-City), or track clues all over one city if it is a SC hunt (Single-City).

Try holding the last favor you get so if it is needed later it will be there to do. Holding a favor means that you ask a townie if they need help, and they will say no but they know that so-and-so might need some help. You then post on the agency msg board under the specific treasure hunt, who you are holding.

Favors are extra cases given by townies, when one of their friend have been killed. You will be rewarded with  nice equipment. (and a clue for the hunt if it's the needed hunt favor)

-After one solved favor: 3 cases to gain the next favor.
- After one quit favor: 4 cases to gain the next favor.
- If holding a favor and traveling: 4 cases to gain the next favor in the other city (as if you've quit a favor).
- After one solved favor and planning to travel: solve 2 cases in home city, then 1 case in the city you're traveling to, to gain the next favor there (to make it easier).

TIP: Never travel between cities if you have opened a favor, or if you have a favor ready to open. Doing so will cause you to lose your favor and take you more cases solved to get a new one.

Rewards for winning the hunt are fame points for your agency and money for the agency safe, oh and you get the shiny trophy to display in your trophy room!

Treasure hunting allows you work on communication and teamwork with your fellow agency members, you earn fame and money for your agency, and the last person to complete the favor needed for the hunt, gets their name in City News!!
